Sclerotherapy is a safe and effective procedure that treats spider veins—those small red, blue, or purple veins that often appear on the legs. At This Wellness Lab, we use a fine-needle injection technique to collapse the vein so it fades over time.
Minimally invasive—no surgery or general anesthesia
Reduces or eliminates the appearance of spider veins
Quick procedure with little downtime
Long-lasting results for treated veins (though new ones may appear later)
Boosts confidence with smoother, more even skin tone
Meet with our team to review your vein health, discuss expectations, and map out the areas to treat. We’ll confirm compression stocking fit and give you pre-procedure instructions (like avoiding lotion or shaving 24 hours before).
On treatment day, you’ll wear loose, comfortable clothing. We cleanse the skin and position you with legs slightly elevated.
Using a fine needle, we inject a sclerosing solution into the targeted veins. This irritates the vein lining, causing it to collapse and redirect blood flow to healthier veins.
A compression dressing is applied immediately. You’ll walk for 10–15 minutes to reduce clot formation and will wear compression stockings for at least 48 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise and direct sun on treated areas for about two weeks.
Typically 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the number of veins treated.
Only mild stinging or burning during injection, which fades quickly.
Some see results after one visit; others need multiple sessions spaced a few weeks apart.
Side effects are rare but may include bruising, pigmentation changes, or inflammation. We monitor you closely to minimize risks.
